Elle Allen Fire Fund

Donation protected
Even if you don’t know her, if you live in Much Hadham, you will have seen Elle out and about, either walking her dogs or on her way to her various jobs around the village in addition to babysitting, pet-sitting, doing the school run for her sister and generally being an All Round Top Person.

So it was a dreadful shock on Friday when Craig the postman raised the alarm that her house had caught fire. The brilliant Hertfordshire Fire Service were there on site with 4 fire engines to Windmill Way very quickly and managed to get the fire under control.

There has been significant damage to the upstairs and her bedroom in particular is completely destroyed. All of her possessions have been ruined by smoke and water.

This is the kind of thing you read about on the BBC news but don't expect to happen to someone you know.

Elle has always been the first to lend a hand to others. The journey back to normal life is going to take a long time because the repairs etc will be long term.

I’d love for Much Hadham to come together as a community to help her with whatever we can.

Funds raised will go directly towards replacing lost belongings, and covering any unforeseen expenses during this time.
