Elgin St. Fire Relief Fund

On November 11, 2020, Erica, Mike, Rachel and her daughter lost everything when their shared duplex in Port Elgin, ON caught fire.  Fortunately, everyone, including the animals, were able to escape. Sadly, the house has deemed as a total loss and both families have lost everything they own. 

Erica and Rachel have been friends for years now and consider each other family, so naturally it makes sense to join forces and help all involved. Myself, as a friend of Erica and Mike, decided to start this GoFundMe as a way to help them, Rachel and her daughter as they begin the painful process of rebuilding their lives.

Both families were without tenant insurance and are therefore left having to rebuild their lives from nothing just over a month before Christmas. This year has been hard on everyone and anything we as a community can do to help these two families rebuild is greatly appreciated. 

Every little bit helps and the funds raised will be put towards: temporary housing for each family,  replacing household items, clothing, and anything else they may need over the next while.

Note on distribution of funds: To ensure that the money is equally distributed the funds will be withdrawn by me personally into an account that was opened solely for these families. Once withdrawals hit the account all proceeds will be forwarded to each family as needed via bank transfer.
