Medical Missions Trip to Tijuana

Hello! My name is Elena Ortega. I’m a college student studying pre-med biology in hopes of becoming a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). This May I have the opportunity to go on a gospel-centered medical missions trip to Tijuana, Mexico, with Cup of Cold Water Ministries!

This trip will be an incredible opportunity for our team to spread the gospel while also caring for the physical needs of those to whom we are ministering. Additionally, as someone who feels called to a career in medical missions, this is a God-given opportunity for me to get a glimpse firsthand of what my calling will look like in a practical sense as I observe, assist, and serve alongside medical professionals and missionaries. I’m looking to raise $1630 for the trip, which will cover my airfare, food, lodging, in-country insurance and transportation, and so much more! Any funds raised beyond that goal will go towards purchasing hygiene kits and medical supplies for the people we are serving.

I sincerely hope you’ll prayerfully consider donating toward the cost of this trip. But regardless of whether or not you feel compelled to give, would you partner with me in prayer in the coming months? Pray that the team would be unified in Christ, sensitive to the leading of the Spirit, and that God’s favor would be on us as we go where He has called us to serve. Pray that we would be a reflection of Jesus at all times, abounding in love toward those we are serving, and pray that the people we are ministering to would receive care for their bodies as well as their souls. Pray that the Lord will provide for us spiritually, financially, physically, and emotionally. And above all, pray that the Lord will use this trip for His glory, to bring us all closer to Him, and to further His kingdom on earth.
