“Well my sweets, here’s the skinny.  There’s a mass and it’s cancerous.” 

Our dear friend, Susan Jones, has colon cancer and we need your help raising funds for her medical bills and living expenses while she is unable to work.  

Anyone who has been on the receiving end of Susan’s love and caring knows she has supported many herself. She is an asset to our community, actively working on the Jefferson County Food Policy Council and the Kansas Permaculture Institute.  Susan will do anything for her people and community. She is direct, funny and is the last person left at end of gatherings because she has been quietly cleaning up and doing more than her part. She shows up to life and to community and to anything that makes the world a better place.

Susan has been a pillar of our community and now is our opportunity to honor her.  One thing our community has learned from Susan’s example is that when each of us gives what we can, it adds up to make a big difference. Alleviating the financial burden of Susan’s illness will help her to focus on healing. Your contribution in any amount is very much appreciated.
