EGN YOUTH SPORTS AND DEVELOPMENT Inc. is a non-profit organization with legal status 501c3 (under IRS code) and missioned to improve youth & young adults in their communities through the art of KARATE and other sports. Our goal is to strengthen the minds, bodies and hearts of the people in our communities through martial arts training. We are a firm believer that physical training leads to increased spiritual connection and strength through patience, which in turn leads to better decision-making from our children. It helps them to learn coordination, concentration, self-discipline, and social skills has shown the immeasurable benefits in academics, relationships between children of diverse backgrounds to create community-minded and open-minded individuals who value friendships, and authentic relationships with themselves and the communities they exist in.

This fun will be use for the Expenses to organize our tournament.

While our children are very passionate to compete and learn the sports and art of Karate, it comes with a very tangible cost; we are constantly fundraising to afford traveling nationally and internationally for competitions and all the expenses that come with that (hotel, food, transportation), tournament fees, membership fees, and tracksuits and gear costs. In the past, we have done our own fundraising activities such as World Finest Chocolate® and fundraiser Breakfast at “Applebees” restaurant every year but due to Covid-19 we’re not able to do it anymore. We’re currently hosting movie nights at our place and partner with Boon supply® fundraiser to help raise funds for our athletes to compete at championships, such as National, Continental and International level events.

The National Championship is our main focus for our athletes as it’s the best opportunity for them to test their skills they have been practicing all year long but also a great experience as they traveling with the competition Team, discover different parts of the country and meet with others who share the same sport! But not only, Junior athletes who are selected for the National Team, will represent the USA at the Pan American Championships and also at the World Championships.

Last year the 2023 USA Karate Nationals & US Team Trials was held in Richmond, VA
Team EGN represented by 14 Athletes and 4 coaches won total of 17 medals
7 Gold
5 Silver
5 Bronze
3 athletes have been selected to the Junior TeamUSA that traveled to Santiago, Chile in August 20-27 to represent The United States Of America at the 2023 Pan-American Karate Championships.
