Mike’s Send Off

Mike was diagnosed with Chrohns Disease at 5 years of age, he spent his life in and out of hospital, being prodded and poked time and time again. He was told he would never achieve what he wanted and that Crohns would be the forefront of his life. Despite all of this Mike fought and fought, he went to a special school for sick children and went from strength to strength. He never complained about his life, his diagnosis even though some days you could see it was taking its toll on him. Eventually Mike even made it to the Royal Veterinary College as a mature student and graduated as a Registered Vet Nurse 3 years ago. This was Mikes absolute dream, he loved animals and was one of the best vet nurses in his field.
He even travelled abroad and volunteered in South Africa at Kruger National Park doing what he loved - rescuing animals in the wild. South Africa was one of his favourite places in the world. Mike even had a once in a lifetime trip to Canada to volunteer again in August this year but unfortunately Mike was taken by cancer at the age of 29 years on 10th July 2019. No one prepares to lose a family member at that age or have the funds to send him off properly.
Mike was the most amazing, selfless, amazing and caring man in our lives, his dedication and hard work in his field made him the most amazing vet nurse in his industry.
Mike was diagnosed on the 26th June with terminal cancer and unfortunately within two weeks he took his last breath 12 hours after he married the love of his life in his hospital bed.
Please help us bring him home to Kent to his friends and family and give him the send off he deserves and to raise the money to honour his last dying wish to be scattered at Kruger National Park in South Africa
Any help would be so appreciated.
Thank you,
Mikes family x
