Education, rent and home expenses.

Hey Facebook family, you might remember 10 or so years ago. I went to Nepal and volunteered at an orphanage. Whilst there I meet a bunch of awesome Nepalese children that I’d never forget.

A few of which have kept in contact with me through messenger over the years.

When I was there I reached out of my own pocket and also took to fb & Gofundme to raise money for them for custom made school uniforms, shoes, staple foods, toiletries and stationary goods. Myself and some of you managed to raise enough funds to supply these kids with some of the essentials we in the west take for granted.

One of these kids named Darshon who is now a young man has kept in contact and has never asked anything of me until now. He’s done really well in school and his efforts and super high grades have opened the doors for him to receive a fully funded scholarship to study in the USA that should start in August 2025.

He is working part-time at a hotel as a waiter earning 15000 Nepali rupee ($169AUD) a month while also studying and taking care of his little brother and sister.

His biggest concern is the education for his siblings as he has been given the final notice from the school to pay 80,000 NR ($900) for them to remain at school or else they will face suspension.

I’ve asked him to provide me with the bill from the school which he collected this afternoon showing the amount that they owe to keep the two young ones in school for now.

I’ve also got a few receipts for food and rent expenses that have not been able to be paid due to an extremely low income.

So I’m asking you guys if you can help me out with any contribution doesn’t matter the amount so we can help this struggling family out and give Darshon some relief so he can focus on his studies and start his scholarship in the USA. Then he will be able to provide for his family for generations to come.

Nepal is a poverty stricken country and this kind of thing is very common but it’s always good to help someone out if we have the chance right? Especially since I’ve known this young fella for many years and now he genuinely needs help.
