Edith Needs Some Help
Donation protected
In 2019 after an unexpected and unimaginable loss I suddenly found myself alone. Right before Christmas I discovered Edith on a dog rescue site and knew instantly she was mine. She was found on the streets of Georgia pregnant and alone. She was also severely injured along her spine.
Once in Canada, fully healed (although the scars are still there) she was looking for her forever home. For almost four years now that home has been with me. She is the sweetest, gentlest and most loving girl. She lives in the moment and experiences joy in everything she does despite her past.
There is a saying that rescue dogs actually do the rescuing and Edith rescued me then and continues to do so each and every day.
But now it’s my turn to help her. Edith torn the ligament in her knee and after trying alternative, and more affordable, treatment options it seems surgery is now her best option.
She struggles to keep up on hikes or with her friends at the beach and while her joy still shines, the light has dimmed a little.
Now to ask a favour: The cost of surgery is not within my means. Being told it would be between $3500-$5000 was a devastating shock. I know there are bigger causes to donate to and you don’t me or Edith. Believe me, you would love her of you did! But I am desperate and asking for a small donation to help carry some of the cost will never be forgotten.
I thank you. Edith thanks you.
