East Putney's Pierce's Hall needs your help!

Tax deductible
We are currently unfunded for restorations to our local community treasure, Pierce's Hall. This Federalist style brick building in East Putney was originally a meeting house built in 1832. Community gatherings, weddings, funerals, memorial services and national holidays have been celebrated continuously at the hall since that time. The Pierce family donated the building to the East Putney Community Club in 1945. The club has maintained the hall over the decades as a community center since then.
Today we are continuing the tradition of using Pierce's Hall for community gatherings. This year we have hosted three well attended food-shelf pop-up days, a community potluck BBQ, and two clean-up days. In the future we would like to continue the monthly contra dances, historical and environmental talks and expand use of the hall including private rentals for a nominal fee.
Restoration needs for Pierce's Hall include the repainting of the interior window trim, restoration of the exterior decorative "fans" (you see above the door) and a new heating system. Any amount of tax-deductible donations (we are a 501C3 organization) would be greatly appreciated.
