Rebuilding Business and Community

Greetings friends and family,
As many of you know, my brother and I have owned and operated a Boost Mobile phone service, accessory and repair shop on the North side of Minneapolis for the past two years. Business has been very good, especially during this COVID-19 crisis where many other Boost stores in the area have closed their doors, while we have remained open as an essential service for the surrounding community. We are known in the community for being a Black-owned business, and many of our customers are loyal to us for that reason, not to mention our top-notch customer service. We have built a rapport with surrounding businesses and community organizations and have contributed time and money to community events.
Unfortunately, during the events of this past week our store has been repeatedly ransacked and looted. We woke up last Thursday morning to our alarm system going off, and found much of our merchandise stolen. After cleaning up and boarding up the storefront, another night of total destruction and mayhem left our business completely gutted. We thankfully have an insurance policy and we are in the process of making a claim. But whether they will pay back the full extent of our damages and lost merchandise, and how long the claim process will take is unknown. We want to get back up and running as soon as possible.
We are so thankful to all that have shown so much love and support during these past few days. Many of you have expressed sincere condolences for what we have been through and asked how you can support us. Here we are asking our support networks to chip in if they are able, to help us reach our goal of $25,000 to get us back up and running and serving the Northside community.
Things that need to be replaced:
Glass on windows and door
Showcases
Security cameras /screens
3 computers and monitors
Printer/copier/fax machine
Merchandise for sale: phones, cases, chargers, screen protectors
