Dustin's Medical Fund

As many already know, Dustin Fender suffered a tragic accident on Friday, November 18th. Nobody really prepares you to hear that your best friend is in critical condition, and for his parents, JH and Maryann, few can understand the deep anguish they are experiencing. If not for the prayers of many, Dustin would not be with us. God's grace has also sustained JH and Maryann through some of the darkest days and nights of their lives. 

God has heard our prayers. Dustin is on the road to recovery, but it will be long and difficult, not only on him but on his family as well. There will be no shortage of trial; we must stand with them. He has already undergone surgeries to stabilize his pelvis and remove his spleen and has many more to endure. His injuries consist of a shattered pelvis and hips, multiple broken bones in his back, broken rib, one punctured lung (both collapsed), ruptured spleen, and damaged liver -among others. Not only will this be a great physical and emotional burden on Dustin and his family, but as we all know, hospital stays can be extremely expensive.

Many people have expressed their support by their presence and by their prayers. Now, it's time for action. Let's be the people that talk the talk and walk the walk. Let's be a blessing to his family and show that we stand with them in all things.
