• We come to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help . On August 24th , 2024 , A’lani wasn’t breathing too well also not eating and was very tired and fussy . only being 11 days old our precious baby A’lani was diagnosed with Meningitis later on that day at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital . The meningitis has left her brain to be permanently damaged due to uncontrollable seizures that caused extensive brain damage we have been told by neurologists that she will not be able to walk or talk , hear or see . we want to prepare for the the most challenging case scenario . A’lani is a sweet and innocent soul, just beginning her journey in this world. Her bright eyes and infectious giggles have brought immense joy to everyone around her. However, the road to recovery for her will be long and arduous. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will directly contribute to A’lani’s medical and family travel expenses, particularly covering the costs of her intensive physical therapy sessions. These sessions are crucial for her neurological rehabilitation and will play a significant role in her development and future well-being. Collectivly, we are overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty about what lies ahead for our precious A’lani. But with your support, we can provide her with the best possible chance at recovery . A’lani’s condition will require constant care over the course of her lifetime and will be costly beyond even our current understanding. A’lani will continue to need special daily therapies, experimental treatments, home care assistance and physical equipment needed to support her quality of life and rehabilitation. The second I found out her diagnosis I have been a relentless advocate for my daughter making sure she has a safe space to grow and heal , also making sure she is very well taken care of and feels loved at all times.
