In December, 2016, Tom was diagnosed with Adult T-Cell Leukemia which required him to find a bone marrow donor match.

In September, 2017,  a donor was found and in December, the transplant was successful.  Now Tom is recovering at home and is steadily growing stronger.  

Since Tom is 70 years old and relies mostly on Social Security and on a fixed income, it is difficult to pay for all of the medical treatment and medication that is needed.
