Donavon King-Medical & Living Expenses
Don protégé
On March 23, 2020 amidst the COVID-19 situation, my good friend, Sue King received devastating news. She was informed by a sheriff at her door that her husband, Donovan King, had sustained a ruptured aneurysm and was in a car accident. He underwent brain surgery and is currently in ICU at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane and will be there for up to 2 weeks as they monitor his healing closely. So far"he is doing well and passing his neurological tests with flying colors" of which we are so thankful!! Please pray for Donovan and Sue and their two girls, Katie and Stephanie. It is a difficult time to have a loved one in the hospital and not be able to be with them because of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Sue has some major mountains to conquer in the upcoming days. She was supposed to start a new job on May 31st, but with the lockdown that may not happen on time. We do not know when Donovan, who is a Hospice Chaplain, will be able to return to work. He has been a great provider for the family and is incredibly responsible, thus we are concerned about his distress when he comes to realize the reality of the family's situation. An increase in his blood pressure can be deadly at this time. It is a major concern and needs to be kept so incredibly steady (the margin is very narrow) so he can heal properly. Please pray that he will have 0 thoughts about finances as his brain wakes up.
In the meantime, Sue is carrying a heavy load. We, their friends wanted to create a way to help lift and carry the financial burden this unexpected turn in life has brought them. I hope you will join us as we carry this dear family together. I have determined this amount based on their insurance deductible, the cost of ICU care for 2+ weeks and no income for at least 2 months. Thank you for helping us and for passing this need on!!
If you would like to be updated on Donovan's condition, Sue has created a Caring Bridge Journal that you can access here. https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/susanking2
