"We learned this week that Donnie Morgan was diagnosed with Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Like any cancer diagnosis the last few days have been a whirlwind. What started as a hospital visit for back and neck pain turned into, "you can't go home" (To tend to the dinner you planned to share with your family after checking out this irritating discomfort). It turned into, "you're not going to be able to receive treatment in Tulsa and need to go to OKC immediately". A week in the hospital turned into, "you'll be here 42 days". A clear brain scan turned into, "we see cancerous lesions on your brain". It turned into FOUR BOYS seeing their dad in the hospital receiving cancer treatment and mom balancing taking care of them while trying to be with her husband. Cancer turns your world around, but our faith continues to tell us everything will be alright even when everything seems very wrong. Donnie is receiving radiation on his brain the next two days and will begin chemo Monday.
