Hi, this is Linda's son Tom. After the stroke seven years ago things were up and down for awhile and the past year her health is declining. She is currently staying in an Assisted Living home and as I write this, in the hospital.

I hate asking for money but she is in desperate need. We are running out of options and I've looked into so many ways but she doesn't qualify for any aide at all. Her Assisted Living is $4500 a month, which is an incredible amount but one of the cheaper places I found in the area. It is a great place and covers all her needs, I am no longer capable of taking care of her myself in my situation and it would cause me to quit my job. She is also having problems with her blood thinner. Some of you probably know that Eliquis is the best but last time I tried to get a prescription they wanted $600. She is on a cheaper blood thinner, coumadin, but it is harder to control and can make her blood too thin.

I'm working on others ways to generate funds by selling some things but that takes time. If you could please spare any amount Linda and I would be grateful. I know it is hard for most to spare anything right now, and several who read this are probably in similar situations, but even if you can't spare anything please share. Perhaps this will be shared to someone who has the means to help. $20,000 goal is an insane amount to ask of people but we are both getting desperate.

I'm trying to get through the next few months until I can figure out a way to her budget manageable.
