Miss Laverne is one of the sweetest women I know. She works every day at the UNC dining hall to keep our space clean, and it is a joy to see her smiling face!

She is in need of money to pay for her food, bills, and transportation right now, since she has suffered a great deal this year. She is a hard-working woman, but she still faces many challenges.

She is diabetic, so it is difficult for her to afford healthy foods that she can eat. It is very important for her to be able to buy low sugar foods that will improve her health and quality of life!

She deals with chronic pain that makes her job and daily activities very difficult. This impacts her ability to work long hours and limits her opportunities to make more money or travel longer distances to buy healthier food.

Her family cannot support her financially, so your help is SO important!

As a student, I see her all the time, and since she has impacted me with her joyful heart, I would like to impact her! I would like to help her build a good future for herself, since she is struggling mentally without having financial security.

She asked me to pray for her that next year is better for her, so I decided to start this fund to help make that happen! :)

My goal is to raise $1,000 by 1/1/2026 to help her meet her immediate needs, afford healthy groceries, and enroll in a financial literacy class.
