Urgent Medical Care Needed: Please help save Rose!

Hi, my name is Rose. I am a 6 year old kitty who was found in a box when I was only a few weeks old, someone left me in a dumpster to die. Some Good Samaritans found me and took me to a shelter, where my forever family fell head over heels in love with me. I had surgery a week ago, but developed severe complications requiring another emergency surgery and critical care, plus blood transfusions to deal with anemia. My vets are trying to figure out why I’m anemic. They are also trying to figure out why I keep eating weird stuff (I love to eat plastic, and am ingenious at finding it in random places, even places where mom hides it). My mom is very worried about me, and my family is very scared. If you can help with my medical bills, it would help my family. The vet says my newest surgery is going to be at least $6000. For just this surgery, we have already spent about $13,000, and that does not include this surgery, or the workup to figure out what’s happening. Please, please, help if you can. My family will be incredibly grateful for anything you can do to help.

Update: 7/24/24. Rose had her second surgery Monday to clean out the massive infection in her belly, and to close the area that had opened up next to her incision. She had an open wound on her belly, and the infection had perforated her abdominal wall. After her surgery, she was recovering and was doing well, eating like a champ, and had her bags packed to come back home. Overnight, she was in a cage, had an e-collar on, and still managed to eat her IV fluid line. She ingested a large amount of plastic, and is currently heading back to the OR for an endoscope, and possible surgery. Again. I’m beginning to think that my estimate for her vet bills was too low. The vet thinks that her gut inflammation may be caused by inflammatory bowel disease, and is complicated by anemia. She got a shot of iron last night, and her blood values were slightly better today. But, now she might need another surgery, and more time in kitty ICU, and more critical care is required. Please, please help us keep her alive. The vets are all in love with her now, too. They tell me how sweet and lovey she is every time they update me about her condition. She’s my baby. Thank you for your help.
