Donate to help stray cats in Athens, Greece - Halandri area

Hi, my name is Kat and I'm a pianist and piano tutor based in Athens, Greece. I have spent almost 20 years working in the UK, where almost no animal is left without food, shelter or medical assistance.
Things are very different in Greece, where I have been living since 2020 - there are virtually no state run shelters and any initiatives doing meaningful work for stray animals (which are in the millions btw, google it if you don't believe me) are exclusively run and operated by compassionate individuals who are privately funding their mission to help as many local strays as possible. facing unwelcoming neighbours who despise strays, and a very hostile urban environment packed with speeding cars frequently involved in hit and runs with helpless strays. Only a few days ago I lost one of the cats to a horrible hit and run just outside my home. Little Fiona, only 3 years old, succumbed to her severe injuries a couple of hours later in the pet hospital.

This is my story: I couldn't turn away from the plight of local cats who are left completely unsupported by the local human population. They are starving, breeding uncontrollably and suffering from road accidents/diseases/being poisoned by heartless people. I started feeding, neutering, spaying, nursing over 60 cats since moving over here, without any assistance from anyone (and certainly not the state, even though there are supposedly allocated EU funds which are channelled through nefarious ways to unspecified organisations).
I have spend all my savings, and thousands upon thousands of euros to medicate, feed and care for as many stray cats in my area as I could possibly help, all money earned through my teaching and my business ventures.
I turn to you now, after having reached a critical point where i can no longer support the almost 40 cats in my care. Their monthly food bill is near 2000 euros, let alone expenses to cover their de-worming/de-fleaing, vaccinations, neutering, emergency procedures and many more necessary expenses.

If you can find it in your heart to support my work in this direction, I would be eternally grateful. Watch my daily practice stream, book a class with me, or just chip in to assist with the cats' expenses - even better, you can virtually adopt one of the cats, or actually adopt and bring a cat to your home. It would mean the world to them and to me.

Any amount you can spare is useful, even a single pound/euro/dollar.

I thank you for your support and attention.

Sincerely,
Kat Perdikomati
