Donate to help repair Claire's beloved car

Hi, this is Grace writing, on my couch, on behalf of my dear friend Claire. Last week, it was her birthday, but she also had her car broken into. Whoever did it, broke the driver's seat window. Thankfully and surprisingly, nothing was stolen, but it took $400 to replace the window. A couple of days later, she found out that someone had hit and ran her driver's side door. We don't know who did this and for what purpose exactly, but the mechanic told Claire it would take around $1500 to replace it.

 

Claire and I went to college together. She was one of the few friends that made me feel at home in a foreign place. She made me feel welcome and accepted. She was never judgemental of what I was like. Claire Waterman is also one of the most hard-working individuals I know. She is also an incredible artist. Her work is inspired by themes of space, isolation, meaning, and community. You can see her work on her website www.clairewaterman.com. I mention this because if you would instead support her through commissioning her artwork, I would encourage you to do so. In some ways, this means a lot more than $$$ to artists. But not now. Right now we need cash.
