Assalamu alaykum,

My name is Abdulrahman, I am a 22 year old man from Northern Gaza. I am here to tell you the story of my nieces and nephews and why we need to evacuate to the south. Seven precious children whose lives were changed during the genocide in Gaza. They lost their fathers , my two older brothers. My eldest brother, Ghassan. Is the father of 4 kids: Farah, (14 years old), Muhammad (11 years old), Basem (9 years old) and Yasmeen (3 years old). My second eldest brother, Muhammad, is the father of 3 kids: Ahmed (10 years old), Abdulkareem (8 years old), and Houthifa (4 years old).

My eldest brother Ghassan had a huge collection of plants and He loves them a lot and spent a lot of time collecting them and taking care of them He also used to be a master at woodworking He made so many woodworks and shelfs to so many people for free cause He enjoys making it and loves to help the people without taking anything in exchange.

My second eldest brother Muhammed He used to love collecting LEGOs He has a huge collection for him and his kids and He was skilled at linguistics and had a huge passion for poetry

Farah Ghassan’s eldest daughter loves collecting dolls and loves photography a lot.

Her brother Muhammed loves Football a lot He always told me he wants to be a football player.

His brother Basem Loves sports too same as his brother He always told me He wants for Barcelona lol.

His sister Yasmin is the cutest creature ever She likes milk a lot to the point she wake up and just starts saying Aleeb Aleeeb (Milk in Arabic)

Muhammed’s eldest son Ahmed is crazy Dinosaurs and space He memorized so many dinosaurs names and planets to the point whenever I show him a dinosaur and ask him about it He answers instantly and tells me what it eats.

His brother Abdulkareem is a calm boy with great passion for wildlife He spends most of his time watching Wildlife Documentaries.

His brother Houthifa is a double edged sword He can be the cutest boy ever or the most aggressive kid lol and He is very talkative in comparison to other kid of his age.

Losing their fathers is going to affect them for sure but I hope it doesn’t change who they are and what they like.

While their fathers were their greatest loss, it is not the only one. They lost their house, safety, sleep and the guarantee of food and water. the same house that they lived a wonderful life in and made happy memories has been bombed. The hardships they have endured cannot be put into words.

The place we evacuated to a few months ago is no longer safe due to the military pushing deeper into northern Gaza and issuing a forced evacuation south. I am responsible for my nieces and nephews and for my family. Life in Gaza is unimaginably expensive due to the blockade. As of last year I had to spend an insane amount of money on food alone, and it barely filled our stomachs, not to mention other bills for clothes, electricity, medicine ect. Now we must also pay for shelter in the south. Renting a small apartment that used to cost 100 dollars before the war is now 1,000 dollars a month during the war, ontop of other expenses and a shortage of job openings this is extremely difficult to pay.

I cannot bring these children’s fathers back, nor can I fill their shoes. But at least I can give them a roof of their heads in a safer area.

I am not asking you to help me, I am asking you to help these children. With your support I can cover the cost of transportation to the south, rent for the apartment and food for my family. With your support my nieces and nephews have hope, and a stronger chance of survival.
