Hello, I'm Tonantzin Arreola, and I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Narmen Mustafa Ali Al-Faqi, who has breast cancer and URGENTLY needs surgery to remove the tumor.

She lives with her mother, Yasmin, who suffers from type 1 diabetes. Both need constant medication, and the current situation in Central Gaza makes it difficult for them to access a dignified and safe life.

This is what she wants to tell you:

I am Narmen, I am 19 years old, from Gaza. I currently live in a tent amid very difficult conditions. I lost my brothers, my home and everything I loved, even my pet, my dog that I raised for eight years.

The occupation imposes a suffocating blockade on us that makes going out to buy food or medicine almost impossible. We live in tents without a fixed shelter, exposed to cold and bombardment at every moment, and our hunger constantly embraces us, where there is almost enough food for our families, and the disease spreads without proper treatment.

I am facing a great health challenge because of a breast tumour, and my mother suffers from type 1 diabetes, and this disease needs continuous care and special medications, but with these difficult conditions, problems are piled up and pains increase. Despite all this pain, I am holding on to hope, and I am always looking for any support or assistance that can alleviate our suffering and give us a chance to live with dignity and security. Gaza is not just a place, but an open wound in the heart that does not close, and yet we continue to stand in spite of everything.

Ella sobrevive con su madre Yasmin quién padece diabetes tipo 1, ambas necesitan medicamento constantemente y la actual situación en Central Gaza les dificulta el acceso a una vida digna y segura.

En sus propias palabras:

Mi nombre es Narmen, tengo 19 años y soy de Gaza. Actualmente vivo en una tienda de campaña en condiciones muy difíciles. Perdí a mis hermanos, mi hogar y todo lo que amaba, incluso a mi mascota, el perro que crié durante ocho años.

La ocupación nos impone un bloqueo asfixiante que hace casi imposible salir a comprar comida o medicinas. Vivimos en tiendas de campaña sin un refugio fijo, expuestos al frío y a los bombardeos a cada momento, el hambre nos acecha constantemente, no hay suficiente comida para nuestras familias, y la enfermedad se propaga sin el tratamiento adecuado.

Me enfrento a un gran problema de salud debido a que fui diagnosticada con cáncer de mama, y mi madre padece diabetes tipo 1. Esta enfermedad requiere atención continua y tratamientos especiales, pero con estas difíciles condiciones, los problemas se acumulan y el dolor aumenta. A pesar de todo este dolor, me aferro a la esperanza y siempre busco cualquier apoyo o asistencia que pueda aliviar nuestro sufrimiento y darnos la oportunidad de vivir con dignidad y seguridad. Gaza no es solo un lugar, sino una herida abierta en el corazón que no se cierra, y aun así seguimos en pie a pesar de estas duras condiciones.
