Hi my name is Lauren, I am fundraising for my good friend Lucy who had a tragic incident at her home earlier on this morning (13/04/22) whilst looking after her two young children. Resulting in a serious injury, which has caused Lucy to need to seek medical attention at A&E. The incident resulted in Lucy loosing two of her front teeth, a loose tooth which will be being removed and a very large slit to her lip which currently has stitches inside and outside of her mouth.

This has mentally and physically made a huge impact on Lucy’s parenting and mental health- as any other parent wouldn’t want their children to see them with such extreme injuries. Lucy is unable to talk, eat and struggling to drink, especially with the loose tooth which is preventing Lucy to close her mouth.

Lucy is only 24, a single mother and already financially struggles due to being unable to work as she cares for her young son with autism. This makes it extremely difficult to pay for a permanent treatment.

Lucy has visited the dentist today and has been quoted her just over £2,000 per tooth for dental implants.
