Donate to help Candy's Medical Costs

Hi, my name is Dana and I am helping to raise funds for my friend and former employee Candy. All donations will go directly towards legal fees, medical costs, and costs of living while she recovers. Here are her words:

"My name is Canaad Vasell and I am a 45 year old citizen of Jamaica who has recently been diagnosed with stage two (2) breast cancer while working in the USA on the H2B work program. Needless to say, I was devastated but, I am determined to live and return to a life of normalcy with my family and so I press on. Since my diagnosis in September 2021 at the Morristown Hospital in New Jersey, I have made valiant efforts to work despite the many uncomfortable feelings that accompany chemotherapy. However, after a few treatments , I was unable to continue working and so I became unemployed as of December 2021. With the little money I saved along with help from my family and church family I was able to procure housing and food to remain in the country to continue treatment. Despite their overwhelming support the cost associated with managing cancer has become burdensome especially since I have been scheduled for a final surgery on April 29th 2022 at the Murray Town Hospital as well as two additional months of follow up therapy sessions. Given the fact that I am not a US citizen and the extension on my H2B visa expires April 28th 2022, I am kindly asking for assistance to help with expenses in legal assistance helping to extend my visa so I may remain in the country legally until my treatment is completed.
