Dear friends, this is Jia. As Gautham’s colleague and close friend, I’m fundraising for Gautham’s family to help them get through the most difficult time in their lives. Gautham loves his family very much…I hope by organizing this fundraiser, we can help his family cover the unexpected and significant costs related to his passing, such as
- Transportation cost to ensure he is brought home with care and dignity
- Funeral and memorial expenses
- Any other related costs, such as legal or administrative arrangements

Dear Pro IFR Family,
Our beloved friend and colleague, Gautham Santhosh, passed away on Saturday, July 26 while he was onboard a Kisik aircraft (C-GYYP) that crashed near Deer Lake, Newfoundland . Kisik is an aerial survey company located at Boundary Bay Airport, Delta, BC. Below is the link for the official statement released by Kisik:

Unfortunately at this moment that’s all the information we have.
Right now, the top priority for us at Pro IFR is to help his family in any way we can. This includes assisting the Deer Lake RCMP in identifying his body, retrieving his personal effects, transportation to his family in Kerala,India, expenses for the funeral and memorial services, as well as other legal and administrative costs. Therefore we created a GoFundMe page for Gautham and our goal is to raise upto $50,000 CAD to help with these expenses.
In addition, the school is working on an annual scholarship under Gautham’s name which we will post on our website soon. This will ensure his memory lives on and he will be remembered by his beloved Pro IFR family forever.
