Donald Pharr

The Campaign:

Donald Pharr is a teacher V.R. Eaton High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the Aviation Academy teacher, teaching and mentoring high schoolers who are interested in pursuing careers the aviation industry. On August 20th Donny was diagnosed with Covid-19 as were his two boys. His boys have recovered fully, but on August 27th he made his way to the emergency room as he was having trouble breathing. He was sent home with oxygen and some antibiotics as he was told he had Covid Pneumonia. On August 29th he was rushed to a trauma emergency room as he could not hardly breath and he was admitted to Baylor All Saints Hospital with a 64% oxygen level, not knowing he was in there for the fight of his life. He was basically asked if he had his affairs in order and said any good byes. The doctors worked hard, as did Donny, and on September 17th he was transferred to an acute care hospital in Fort Worth, where he is at to this day.

Still on Oxygen Donny has made great progress and continues to get better very slowly and he is working so hard to get back to something he loves, his boys as well as helping and teaching the kids at the High School.

What the Money will be Used for:

The immediate need will be out of pocket cost that his insurance will not cover. Donny will have some long term care needs yet to be determined based on his recovery and when and if he would be able to return to work as we do not know the extent of the damage to his lungs.

Any donation will allow Donny to offset his medical bills and for any in home medical care he will need.
