Donald & Kelly Leger - Medical Fundraiser

On December 22, 2021, as most of us were wrapping up our last-minute Christmas errands, this beautiful couple were trying to process Donald's diagnosis; that's the day he found out he has stage 4 rectal cancer. On this same day, Kelly's mom passed away unexpectedly.

In the days that followed, more news... it spread to his liver, lymph nodes and lungs. The doctors are moving quickly. He has since had surgery to perform a colonoscopy and this past Wednesday (January 12, 2022) he began chemo. His treatments will last 3 months. At that time they will assess the effectiveness and re-evaluate the next steps.

Donald is 40 years old. He works as a mechanic and is the sole income earner in the home where he lives with his beautiful wife Kelly in Saint-Paul, NB. Kelly is a recently graduated from a course and she hasn't yet been able to begin her career due to CoVID-19.

They have no medical insurance (only NB Medicare, which doesn't cover medications). Many treatments for cancer are not covered by Medicare and can run into the thousands of dollars range. Donald is obviously now unable to work. The living expenses will continue to need attention.

This beautiful couple needs our help so they can focus on what matters most ❤
