No puedo soportar la idea de que el dinero sea la razón por la que pierda a mi perro, por estoy aquí.

Hola, soy Rubén, el dueño de Kumba, un setter inglés con un cáncer muy agresivo en el cuello. Dicho cáncer le dificulta la respiración y ha perdido el apetito, además, sufre de apatía y malestar general y ha perdido gran parte de la energía y la vitalidad que lo caracterizaban. Le hemos operado y dado quimioterapia, pero desgraciadamente, no ha funcionado y el cáncer ha regresado, sin embargo, no todo está perdido, aún nos queda una última bala: la radioterapia.

Un tratamiento que atacaría directamente al tumor que tiene Kumba. Los veterinarios dicen que “La radioterapia es totalmente diferente a la quimioterapia ya que actúa localmente, directamente sobre el tumor irradiándolo, pudiendo conseguir una reducción muy importante e incluso desaparición del tumor”.

Necesitamos recaudar el dinero para dentro de 3 semanas, que es cuando nos han dado cita para empezar el tratamiento y así poder salvar la vida de Kumba como él salvo la mía en su momento. Yo soy hijo único con padres divorciados, así que para mí, Kumba, ha sido como el hermano que nunca tuve. Pero Kumba es un perro muy especial y no solo para mí, sino para toda la gente que lo rodea, repartiendo felicidad y cariño allí donde va.

Hasta la fecha, llevamos más de 7.500€ gastados entre pruebas, gastos veterinarios, urgencias, intervenciones, quimio etc pero la radioterapia es un tratamiento muy caro que duplica en costes casi la cantidad ya invertida y no podemos pagarlo. Por eso hemos abierto esta campaña, para recaudar el dinero necesario para poder realizar el tratamiento:

Nuestro objetivo es conseguir 10.000 € para poder afrontar el tratamiento de radioterapia y todos los gastos relacionados con él.

No importa cuánto puedas aportar: 5 €, 10 €, 20 €… cada euro nos acerca un poco más a conseguirlo. Y si no puedes ayudar con una donación, compartir esta campaña puede ser igual de importante, quizá alguien que vea tu publicación si pueda hacerlo.

Aparte, queremos ser completamente transparentes con vosotros. Iremos actualizando esta campaña durante todo el proceso: publicaremos la evolución de Kumba y justificaremos cada € invertido en el tratamiento, incluyendo las facturas y los costes adicionales (desplazamiento, gastos veterinarios, medicinas etc) para que todas las personas que nos ayuden puedan saber en todo momento en qué se está invirtiendo el dinero recaudado.

No queremos despedirnos de Kumba todavía, ni el está listo para irse ni yo para dejarle ir. Por favor, ayúdanos a hacer esto posible.

I can’t bear the thought of money being the reason I lose my dog, which is why I’m here.

Hi, I’m Rubén, Kumba’s owner. He is an English Setter with a very aggressive cancer in his neck. This cancer makes it difficult for him to breathe and he has lost his appetite. He also suffers from apathy and general discomfort and has lost much of the energy and vitality that used to characterize him. We have had him operated on and given chemotherapy, but unfortunately, it hasn’t worked and the cancer has returned. However, not everything is lost. We still have one last bullet left: radiotherapy.

A treatment that would directly target the tumor Kumba has. The veterinarians say that “Radiotherapy is completely different from chemotherapy, as it acts locally, directly on the tumor by irradiating it, and can achieve a very significant reduction and even disappearance of the tumor.”

We need to raise the money within 3 weeks, which is when we have been given an appointment to start the treatment, so that we can save Kumba’s life just as he once saved mine. I am an only child with divorced parents, so to me, Kumba has been like the brother I never had. But Kumba is a very special dog, not only to me, but to everyone around him, spreading happiness and affection wherever he goes.

To date, we have spent more than €7,500 on tests, veterinary expenses, emergencies, procedures, chemotherapy, etc. But radiotherapy is a very expensive treatment that nearly doubles the amount we have already invested, and we cannot afford it. That is why we have started this campaign: to raise the money necessary to be able to do the treatment.

Our goal is to raise €10,000 to cover the radiotherapy treatment and all the expenses related to it.

It doesn’t matter how much you can contribute: €5, €10, €20… every euro brings us a little closer to making it possible. And if you cannot help with a donation, sharing this campaign can be just as important. Maybe someone who sees your post will be able to help.

We also want to be completely transparent with you. We will keep updating this campaign throughout the entire process: we will share Kumba’s progress and account for every € spent on the treatment, including the invoices and additional costs (travel, veterinary expenses, medication, etc.), so that everyone who helps us can always know exactly what the money raised is being spent on.

We don’t want to say goodbye to Kumba yet. He isn’t ready to leave, and I’m not ready to let him go. Please, help us make this possible.
