A lot of very kind-hearted people have asked for ways they can help sweet Baby Dominic through this terrible fight. I'm making this GoFundMe as a way to give if you feel it in your heart to do so.
As many of you know, my nephew Dominic is an amazing 20 month old who is fighting for his life. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia 2 weeks ago. While most toddlers his age are playing with cars, learning ABC's or generally just getting into everything, Dominic is getting chemo, has had blood transfusions and is on medication just to fight the associated neasua.
While no child should ever have to go through these things, he is such a fighter! He is in a lot of pain but you would rarely even know it. He is smiling and playing and trying to eat new foods even though the medicine makes his tummy hurt.
His mommy and Daddy, Jamie and Ruben are at his side nonstop....caring for him, holding him and loving him as he battles for his life. No one should have to watch their child suffer and they should never feel they are alone. With covid prohibiting visits to the hospital,
please take some time to consider showing your support by giving to this sweet family.
Its more than any family should ever have to deal with. Along with the medical costs, there are many associated costs with living in a hospital; Ruben's commute to work; and the back and forth to their apartment that is almost an hour away. These things can add up and cause unnecessary stress.
