'Dogbone' - Help Us Finish Our Film!
Donation protected
PROJECT UPDATE:
Hi there, I'm Rob, producer of the short film 'Dogbone'. Myself and the team at Summat Cinema are extremely proud to say WE HAVE WRAPPED FILMING! ...and could not have done it without the support of everyone through GoFundMe.
Dogbone shares an important message surrounding young men's mental health, suicide, abuse and grief. Our aim is to inspire more dialogue on these topics through screenings across the country in film festivals. With that, we are looking to raise the remainder of our budget to afford the cost of film festival entry. If you're able to help us, please consider donating to push Dogbone to the audience it needs, and open a discussion on its potent themes.
Initial Project Description:
Dogbone: Set in the early 2000s in Northern England, under 17s football player Mark struggles to speak out about his experiences with his formidable coach, Andy Byrns. Within the runtime of 15 minutes, the gritty & realist tale about Mark's experiences with his abusive football coach aims to breathe new life into the early 2000's school football era.
We are looking to raise funds for our final year film project at The University of Salford. For anybody willing to donate, the funds will be put into the creation of a 'proof of concept' short film prior to Dogbone's creation. As well as locations, travel, equipment hire and much more for the full project. We encourage you to check out the body of filmmaking work Summat Cinema have created over the last few years, to see the quality we are trying to exceed with our most ambitious project yet.
Summat's Instagram and YouTube channel will be linked on this page, as well as our latest short 'Goose'.
Thank you for your support!
