Dixie Mae is a one year old loving sweet Rottweiler that was dealt a painful hand in life. At 7 months old she was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia in her left hip. In the long process of working towards getting her hip surgery set up her right knee began to deteriorate. On December 15th 2020 we found out she had torn her cranial cruciate ligament in her right knee. Now everything had changed, fixing the knee was now the priority. A$4761.00 surgery is needed to fix her knee and stop her pain. After her knee surgery we can circle back and get her hip fixed. Her hip surgery which we opted for FHO is $2,700-$3,100. I want nothing more than to give Dixie the life she deserves and I have exhausted all other options trying to come up with the money for this surgery. Dixie is now only walking to go to the bathroom, she does not stand and will drag herself accross the floor when she wants to be independent and not get help to. Dixie Mae never got the chance to be the dog she wants to be because with everything she does she is in pain.
I am sickened when I say we need help getting her the knee surgery she needs. I can not give up on her and I can not let her go on living in the amount of pain she is in. She deserves to have someone that will fight for her and that is what I will do. Anything you can give to help us get her the surgery she needs would be so very appreciated.
