Disabled Veteran & Family Faces Imminent Eviction Needs Help

Donation protected
We appreciate you taking a moment to read our story. We’re a USMC family at immediate risk of losing our home. The sheriff lockout is scheduled for Friday May 17th if we cannot provide the funds. Our family, including our two school aged daughters, is in need of immediate financial assistance to prevent eviction and assist in relocation cost. This will allow for a proper transition; the transfer of all medical services and our daughters would be able to finish the school year here before leaving the state.

My husband has fallen on tremendous difficulties since his most recent spinal revision surgery last year. As if his Traumatic Brain Injury isn’t enough, shortly after that complicated spinal surgery, he had an episode of major blood clots in his leg, arm and lungs. Even after multiple emergency surgeries to remove the clots, he still has them present throughout this leg, with new ones that need to be treated. We were terrified before the eviction was on the table. We need your help. A 100% P&T Disabled Marine Corps Veteran, finds himself fighting (literally) for life and limb after multiple complications following his fifth spinal reconstructive surgery.

As a military wife and his Veteran Affairs assigned caregiver, together we’ve been pushing for the best care for my husband post surgery while trying to balance a household of four on only VA disability. Myself, unable to work additional hours due to continued care for my husband following complications post spinal surgery.

We’re at a loss, months behind on rent, pending a sheriff's lock out; facing homelessness come this Friday with no friends or family in the area; everyone located on the opposite coast.

After unsuccessfully trying to secure the total past due rental balance on our own, through loan and grant application, we now know, we won’t get through this without the help of our community.  It's for these reasons that we found it necessary to reach out to our community at this time.

Over the course of the past few months we’ve saved a portion of the balance due. We’re running out of time and are in desperate need of help. Please. Any money donated will go towards our past due rental balance with the goal of stopping the lockout this Friday. Additional funds will go towards relocation cost as we transition out of state.

Any amount you’re willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to contribute at this time, please pray for us, and consider sharing our story with those around you as it would mean the world to us.

Our family thanks you during these overwhelmingly difficult times and I hope our next update is a positive one. Forever Grateful - Jeff and Deven
