Disabled Vet and family need new roof!

Hello, my name is Ted Agens. I am retired from the US Army after serving for 20 years. I am disabled and cannot work. A few months ago, our roof began leaking. Our insurance company sent out an adjustor and the company decided to send us around $650! We have had 3 bids for a new roof and the lowest we recieved was for $6500.

My wife and I raise our grand daughter and take care of all other necessities on our fixed income. People tend to over rely and to foolishly trust their insurance company in times like this when people like us just do not have a spare $6000 laying around. 10% of the total cost of repair that the Insurance Company gave us, after all of our years of payments simply won't even buy any materials!

I cannot work due to several service connected injuries as well as an auto immune disorder known as Bechet's Syndrome, so its not like I could ask for extra shifts from my supervisor at work.

Any assistance any of you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
