Digo Quintos and Family Cancer Fight
Eight months ago, Rodrigo (Uncle Digo) Quintos was diagnosed with stage IV cancer of the esophagus. Through months of extensive chemo treatment, he has stayed strong and positive with the support of his loving wife and two sons, Tita Barb, Robert, and Christian.
On Monday, April 20, 2020, Uncle Digo was taken to the hospital and placed in the ICU on life support and on April 22, 2020, he passed into heaven. We ask that you keep Uncle Digo, Tita Barb, Robert, and Christian in your prayers. We know they are in the hands of God always.
During this rough time, they are faced with high expenses and medical treatments. On top of the stress of battling cancer, the family is dealing with more income loss and changes in access to the locked down hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If we can relieve a stressor by gathering some funds, I know they could use it. These funds will go to helping the Quintos’ with offsetting the costs of Uncle’s passing — accumulated bills, funeral service, and celebration of life.
Uncle Digo is the biggest family man. He has led example of what it means to be head of the house and do everything for the sake of family. I cannot imagine the stress they are going through while adapting to new struggles day by day. The past few months have been very taxing on their finances. Tita Barb does not drive and relies on the boys to get to her job as a school teacher. Above all, it is known they are modest, hard-working people with faith in God and big hearts.
I believe it is our duty as family and friends to show the Quintos family that they are forever loved and supported, especially during times such as these. I can't imagine how quarantine and isolation have deepened their hardship on top of being hundreds of miles away from friends and family.
I humbly thank you on their behalf for giving in any capacity. It does not need to be financial. Give a phone call, send a Facebook message, get food delivered, say a prayer. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude if at the least, you could share with your friends so we can all support Uncle Digo’s family in this battle.
Praying for happier, healthier times for all. God bless.
