Georgetown Dharmic Life endowment fund

Friends of Dharmic Life is a student-led fundraising initiative to establish an endowment for Georgetown University Dharmic Life, similar to that of other faith groups on campus. It began when recent information came to light that all Georgetown Dharmic Life events (weekly Aratis, weekly Buddhist Meditations, Monthly Sikh Sangat, Diwali, Holi, etc.) have absolutely no sustained institutional funding. Interest from the endowment will be used to pay for Dharmic Life programming, leading to a sustainable model for sevā and engaging with our traditions on campus. In order to set up this endowment, we must raise $100,000. It is our goal to set up the endowment by November 12, 2023, i.e. the day of Diwali.
