Ty Oley's Battle with Lyme Disease

Ty is a 9 year old boy who has been disagnosed with Lyme Disease in Oct 2015. He was misdiagnosed in 2014 and he has now just begun his journey. He has gone from an active & typical 9 year boy,  to being stuck at home due to overall pain and medication side effects. Some days it takes Ty a couple of hours to just get out of bed. Ty has seen 5 doctors  from which he has failed to recover or even respond to the most agressive treatments. We are now forced to seek out an  LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor).  We have an opportunity to see a Lyme Disease Specialist in Delmar NY (which is approximately 5 hours away) at the Stram Center for Integrative Medicine  however this facility does not accept any insurance. The 1st visit is $795.00 and subsequent visits are each $350.00.  This does not include medication costs and we may be required to travel back and forth several times. Also, while there,  we will be required to stay with Ty throughout his treatment which could be several months. His length of treatment remains unknown as there is no known cure for Lyme Disease.  The goal is to lessen Ty's pain and improve his quality of life until his disease goes into remission.  His first appt is on May 26 which only gives us approx 8 weeks to raise money for his treatment.  Any donations will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much from Ty and his entire family.
