Dexter (my service animal) life saving surgery

Yesterday while playing in a field my service animal, Dexter chased a squirrel and accidentally impaled himself on a stick.
The sick entered his upper chest and embedded six inches deep.
We rushed him to urgent care where they took him into surgery immediately. Dexter narrowly escaped death, by the grace of God the stick missed all major organs. This is still a very serious injury and he’s not out of the water yet.
I’ve never asked for help before but I could really use some now. Dexter is 9 and has a lot more life to live. He has been with me through all my struggles and I have to try everything I can to get him well. If you can’t contribute please share. Anything helps. Thank you!
