As God would have it my dear friend Judith and I met 5 families today that we were able to give assistance to.
What we saw today has given us more stregnth to do more good for others. As we drove through the town of Immokalee in search of people who have not yet received the help they need my heart sank. The trailer parks homes were ripped apart like abused toys, most of which were only rated to withstand Category 1 storms. We knocked on many unanswered doors. The majority of the homes have been labled "Condemned". Most of the families have been living in the high school gymnasium for the past 2 weeks not knowing how they will regain some semblence of normalcy.
We will be returning in 2 days with more purchases requested by other families who found us. We intend on building a network as long as we have funding available.
