Destiny Rose Memorial Scholarship

March 5th 2017, we lost a special soul, someone who means so much to a lot of people. Destiny Rose Borges was taken away from us way too soon. While grieving this loss, one thing that had been on my mind was finding a way to keep her name alive. So, some friends and I have decided to start a scholarship in her name. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor my friend, than by helping others in her name, giving them the opportunity to make the most of their lives just like she would have if given the chance.

This yearly scholarship will be awarded to students within the theater program that Destiny loved so much and dedicated years of her life to. She had said many times that the Ceres High Theater Department was like another home and another family to her. By awarding this scholarship to students who have found that same comfort in this department, Destiny’s name can live on through their goals and future accomplishments.

I encourage anyone who wants to contribute, to join us in this endeavor. We hope to build something that will go on for years and years to come, to build onto the legacy that our loved one has left behind.
