Some of our team at Engineering are raising funds for one of our Safety Managers, Derek Billing.

Derek has been a valued team member from his beginnings with Abigroup in 2003 on the M7 up until this year whilst working with Engineering on the T2E project when, at no fault of his own, he was diagnosed with terminal mesothelioma cancer.

Derek will have to undergo a series of treatments for the rest of his time with us, which will begin later this year. Before he starts the treatments, Derek is jetting over to Europe in 2 weeks to complete his personal Bucket List & to enjoy more time with his wife, Michelle.

We would like to put it out there for Derek's friends, family and work mates (old and new) to come together and make donations to fund Derek in helping to complete his Bucket List in Europe and to support his family in the treatments that will follow after his return.

The terrible news of his diagnosis was received by Derek suddenly and has changed his world and his family's in unimaginable ways. I have worked with Derek for many years now and have seen how our teams can band together when someone has it tough. Any donation or ideas for Derek's Bucket List will be met much heart-filled gratitude.
