It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Derek Hamm on May 25th, 2024, at the age of 46, leaving behind his cherished wife Sara, 2 year old daughter Illiana, and sons Jacob and Jayden. Derek suffered what appears to have been a fatal cardio-pulmonary event.

In the wake of this tragedy, family and friends are coming together to extend their love and support. Derek was known in the community as generous, funny and talented at everything he turned his hand to. His passing will be felt by all who experienced his contagious energy and heartwarming smile.

Derek's sudden, unexpected passing has left an enormous void, and creates an extraordinarily difficult path for Sara and Illiana to navigate, as they search for their footing in the wake of this shock. Our hope is that we can also come together in an effort to raise some much needed funds to support Sara and Illiana in this incredibly difficult time, and help to alleviate some of the financial burdens that necessarily accompany such a devastating and life changing event. For any of us with any capacity to help, let's give together to help this family lift themselves back up, and avoid adding a crushing financial emergency to the pain of this personal loss.
