Deisi’s Hysterectomy and Recovery

If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Deisi, you know this woman is a fierce, beautiful, strong, and magical human being whose eyes spill out sunshine. Her uterus, on the other hand, is a pain in the…well…uterus.

As long as I’ve known Deisi, she’s been navigating her complex and chronic illnesses. You can’t keep this girl down, though. She’s battled it out for her friends, empowered her community, and fundraised the heck out of runs. It’s time for us to step up for her the way she has for her community time and time again. Deisi has finally found a doctor that really sees her and has given her optimism and a path forward. Funds from this GoFundMe will go directly to Deisi to cover the out of pocket costs of her hysterectomy, associated care/medication, and provide support for her time off work so she can fully rest and recover. We all know she deserves it!

I want to start off thank you all for your support, not just with providing funds but existing in my life as a loved one. I could not do this recovery with the check-ins and the love you give me. Thank you from the bottom of my cold cold heart.

Okay, now lets talk about why we are really here. It would take too much energy and time to talk about the complex medical history that has lead me to this place, so I’m going to focus on the future it’ll provide. Getting a hysterectomy will not only help get rid of the constant pain and bloating I deal with on a daily basis, but I have a 60 percent chance of not getting cancer. When my doctor told me this was an option, I felt seen, heard, and cared for. Now I am asking you all to help me while I recover. Any amount of money will help me heal without the stress of knowing I have to pay for this surgery, without the stress of knowing my partner will be taking off time from work and losing money.
