Mission Trip to Haiti

Happy Fall, Merry Christmas and Joyous Holidays to all! It is with a grateful heart that I have the privileged opportunity to go to Haiti with my Community Church from February 24th – March 3rd, 2018. I have wanted to go on a short mission trip my whole life but was always busy with home missions, various churches I served in and raising my family. I am so excited to be able to serve my Lord in any way he sees fit to help the needy in Haiti on this mission trip that is being coordinated with the Haiti Foundation.
The fund raising events I and the Haitian team have scheduled thru the next few months, including the pizzas we made at the end of October, will fund specific projects being done while we are in Haiti, such as the purchase of supplies to make beds. I am personally raising money by baking my way to Haiti thru selling homemade breads and cakes at Oshkosh Chamber Singer’s choir practices and will be happy to do more for others that live locally.
This will only make a dent in the cost of the airline tickets and in country expenses I need to raise. I need your prayer and financial help to assist with my most pressing need at present to purchase my airline ticket that is about $800 round trip and will go up over time. There will be about $800 needed for in country expenses making a total of $1600 needed over the next few months.
For my immediate family, in lieu of Christmas gifts, I would appreciate a financial contribution towards this Haitian mission trip.
I am looking forward to one of my jobs on this trip in Port-au-Prince that will be to hold and feed malnourished children. For people who know me, moms and children have always been near and dear to my heart.
