Dean Leavitt and family

Hi,

My name is Gay Leavitt and I am fundraising for my brother and his family. On Wednesday night 2-22-2023 their home of 31 years had a fire, starting in the chimney from the wood burning stove. They and their cats are all safe, so we are thankful for that.

The center of the house and one second-floor bedroom (Abby's room) has the worst damage; the fire spread along the walls, into the attic and through the roof. A lot of the ceilings were pulled down and the rest of the house was filled with water by the firefighters who did a commendable job in containing the fire. At this point, they don't know what the insurance will pay for. It looks like it won't cover temporary lodging or contents. I am raising funds to help keep them afloat temporarily.

There are so many costs to rebuilding your life after a fire; I hope we can raise enough for some of the storage, hauling and disposal of waste, movers, rental, personal items and other costs.

We can't replace sentimental items, but I think we can alleviate some of the financial stress. Thank you so much if you can contribute even a small amount.
