As you may or may not know, I am part of a band at University of Richmond called Clusterfunk along with Paul Ballas and Colby Heald. Over these last few months, we have had some truly dismal luck.
In September, two instruments of mine (valued at ~$2000) were stolen at a gig at College of Charleston. Yesterday, the Charleston Police Department happened to inform me that even though they have a picture of the suspected thief(who is on probation) with my guitar, they will not take further action against him.
Just last night, someone stole 4 more instruments, 5 guitar pedals, and an amplifier from myself and my band from the lodges on campus (~$4000).
We had a gig at Salisbury University this weekend (Nov 4th), but this can no longer happen.
Now there is no reason I should reasonably expect anyone to just like, give me money. I think that it would be amazingly cool if a little bit from a lot of people who just so happen to care could accumulate into something substantial; this would go toward restoring the Clusterfunk Nation, allowing me to resume my greatest passion in life.
In the perhaps unlikely event that we recover some of our equipment and have excess donation money, this surplus will be donated to charity. We will not, under any circumstances, be making a profit off of this.
The act of anyone supporting the cause would mean the world to us. So please, help us Bring the Music Back!
