My husband, David, was born with a rare heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. He’s been relatively healthy up until November. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, but unfortunately it turns out his heart was failing. He has not worked since mid-November and is now in the ICU at Kaiser San Francisco Medical Center. For those that know David, he is one of the most kind, gentle, and empathetic people that I’ve ever met and would never ask for help if he didn’t need it. He’s been in the hospital since January 15th, and the doctor said he had at least another week to go. Any little bit helps as I am the only source of income at this point and we will be looking at a very large hospital bill in the very near future.
