David Wilcox

David was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma a month ago.  Since then his and his family’s lives have been turned upside down. His wife, Maria, is a very close friend of mine. Together they have two adorable young boys, Jameson, age 6, and Christian, 9 months.  They do not yet know where the cancer originated, but fortunately the doctors have decided to start treatment immediately.  David started his first chemo treatment Friday, March 23, 2018, which is a three-day infusion.  Side effects are different for everyone.  Whether he will be able to work during treatment is still not known.  Treatment will continue indefinitely but will be easier to decide the correct route of treatment once the place of origination is known.  He will have a PET scan next week which will hopefully determine this, but unfortunately insurance has denied the scan so the family has to pay for it themselves.  Maria has supported the family staying at home raising their young boys they have together and boys they each have from previous relationships.  If and when David has to go on disability, monthly income will dwindle.  This wonderful, loving family can use whatever help and support anyone is able to offer.  Please pray for David, Maria and their amazing family!
