Dave Meadows Air Ambulance fund

Our dear friend, Dave Meadows fell ill while on a cruise in Alaska. He was found to have a staph infection in his spine, which resulted in 2 emergency surgeries in Seattle, WA. Although he is expected to recover, Dave is currently hospitalized in Seattle (as he has been for nearly a month) and will require weeks of acute rehabilitation to regain the use of his legs(lost as a result of the infection)and recover from his 2 very invasive spine surgeries. This is scheduled to begin at Emory Hospital in Atlanta as soon as he arrives. Your donation will help fund the cost of an Air Ambulance to fly Dave & Leann from Seattle to Atlanta. Medical insurance will cover only a small portion of the cost of the Air Ambulance, estimated at $35,000 due to the flight distance. Along with his COPD, Dave is also fighting pneumonia and is currently not well enough to fly a commercial flight to return to his home in GA. Dave and his family attempted a commercial flight earlier this week with nearly disastrous results. His speedy and safe return to GA is critical to his recovery.
