Hi, my name is Krista, Darvin's daughter. All of the funds raised will be going directly to my father's bills and activities he can still enjoy. My father, Darvin, has had Pancreatic Cancer since 2005, and beat his cancer once. He has worked for Costco since I was a little girl, until he was told he was not allowed to work any longer since the Cancer had come back about five years ago. My mother, Sharon, and I are his caretakers. My father is now on hospice. Darvin has four kids, Ryan, Matt, Jared, and me (the youngest, 21 years old). I am married and out of the house, but I am there everyday to see my dad. My father not only has Pancreatic Cancer, but his liver is failing as well. His stomach is now so extended that he cannot and does not want to eat most of the time. We have been SO LUCKY to have had him for so long, and it is hard to watch him suffer. Although he is suffering pain-wise, financially, and emotionally, he relies on God for his happiness. He is known as "the walking miracle." These funds will be used to pay bills such as electricity, water, medical, etc., and to also take him to places such as Disneyland, the mountains, movies, and road trips. It would mean THE WORLD to us if donations were made to make his life more enjoyable with his family. I also hope to repay the kindness with my own donations in the future in honor of my father.
