Darice William’s Cervical Cancer Battle

Darice is an amazing daughter, mother, sister, aunt, wife, and friend. At the young age of 45, she is gearing up for a tough battle. Darice was diagnosed with stage 2b cervical cancer back on December 23rd, 2021. After completing 6 weeks of chemo and radiation the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Additional chemo and radiation were given immediately but unfortunately on October 10th, just 4 months after her wedding day, she was sadly given devastating news. Her cancer has spread for a second time to her lymphatic system throughout her entire body. Because of this extremely aggressive, fast growing cancer, a plan was immediately put into motion for Darice’s treatment. This will consist of a much stronger cocktail of chemo coupled with Keytruda. She has started her first infusion and right as she is starting to feel better, her next infusion is due. She is expected to continue this treatment course for at least 2 years. Before her diagnosis, Darice was a full time mother and Optometric Assistant. Due to already experiencing pain and uncomfortableness, she will be taking an intermittent leave of absence to receive her treatments. Darice is strong willed and tough as nails, with a positive outlook on every situation. She was my teal sister as we both have fought this cervical cancer battle together. To sustainably maintain the William’s basic lives during this time given rising expenses and lost income, we are turning to you for support.
